Elle Osili-Wood

Television and Radio Presenter

Elle Osili-Wood is one of the most exciting and influential presenters in British television, described by BAFTA as “an industry go-to” for entertainment’s most high-profile shows and events. An award-winning broadcaster, Elle’s vibrant on-screen presence has seen her front a wide range of television and radio for ITV and the BBC, covering everything from the Oscars to the Royal Coronation.

Honoured as a BAFTA Breakthrough in television, and ARIA-nominated, Elle has cemented her reputation as a leading voice in entertainment, particularly in film, where her extensive career includes being an entertainment presenter for ITV, a film critic for the BBC, and presenting the BFI Future Film Awards, as well as hosting premieres, awards shows and red carpet events for the likes of Netflix, BAFTA, and Amazon.

A celebrated entertainment host, Elle is a red-carpet regular. As the entertainment reporter for ITV’s Katie Piper Breakfast Show, she brings her film and TV picks to primetime TV, in addition to being a regular host of BBC Radio 4’s flagship arts show, Front Row, and a premiere host and red carpet reporter for Netflix, BAFTA, and many more. An avid film buff, and voting BAFTA member, Elle’s work also includes hosting the BFI Future Film Awards, showcasing emerging filmmakers on BBC Four, presenting the GGM Film Festival Awards, appearing as a film critic for the BBC, and sitting on the advisory board and jury of the ESI Film Festival. Whether discussing deleted scenes from Everything Everywhere with DANIELS, or hosting the Fallout premiere with Jonathan Nolan, Elle is a passionate, knowledgeable host for high-profile film content and events.

Elle’s warmth, enthusiasm and expertise make her the perfect choice for bringing cultural content to mainstream audiences. From chairing pre-show panels for The Booker Prize to covering new albums for BBC Radio, or hosting live opera broadcasts in thousands of cinemas around the world as the presenter for the Royal Opera House, Elle is an engaging, entertaining guide to arts and culture. Her cultural standing also saw her chosen as part of the BBC’s coverage of the Royal Coronation, hosting the series The Coronation Collection on BBC Radio 2.

Elle has been described as “one of the most influential women in games” by Google – her expansive video games career includes twice hosting the prestigious BAFTA Games Awards, presenting for brands like PlayStation, Xbox, Ubisoft, and Pokémon, and creating games documentaries and podcasts for the BBC, where she currently presents Sound of Gaming on BBC Radio 3.  As the founder and CEO of cultural consultancy Playwell, Elle’s leading expertise in immersive entertainment and emerging audiences has seen her invited to speak to the UK Parliament and Oxford University, as well as provide consultancy on the video games industry for some of the world’s most valuable brands, including Adidas, McDonald’s, and the BBC.

Alongside the arts, Elle has a reputation for inspiring, thoughtful lifestyle content, having trained in yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Whether introducing audiences to meditation with her series Awake with Elle, surfing round Cornwall for Amazon, or testing fitness trackers for Garmin, Elle is an inclusive, positive voice on physical and mental wellbeing.  In addition, she’s a popular face for upbeat branded content, like touring her favourite London spots with Ted Baker, showing off the ultimate beach life with Tourism Australia, or presenting fun football content for Adidas, interviewing players like Serge Gnabry, Lindsey Horan, and Son Heung-min.

Off-screen, Elle is a proud ambassador for the charities SpecialEffect and FoodCycle, where she regularly volunteers, and a patron of Safe In Our World.
