Shaun Leane’s knowledge and experience in the Jewellery industry spans over 35 years. Celebrated world-wide Shaun Leane began his career training in London’s Hatton Garden. It was there that Leane began collaboratug collaborating with the late Alexander McQueen, creating provocative catwalk jewels that have become iconic milestones in the art of couture jewellery. In 1999 he launched Shaun Leane Jewellery.
Shaun Leane jewellery is underlined with sentiment, stories and meaning, always tapping into the history and heritage of jewellery.
Shaun has succeeded in Jewellery, Fashion, Architecture and Broadcast. In 2013 the jeweller presented The Hidden Jewels of the Cheapside Hoard for BBC4 and 2021 saw him become an expert judge on two series of BBC2’s primetime format: All That Glitters.
Described by Sotheby’s as “antiques of the future”, Leane has received recognition across the globe including Winner of U.K. Jewellery Designer of the Year, on four occasions, Walpole Best British Luxury Craftsmanship and most recently, Harper’s Bazaar Jewellery International Jewellery Designer of the Year.
July 2018 saw Leane’s first move into the architecture with the opening of the 21 Young Street apartment building in Kensington. Leane was commissioned to design the building’s exterior metalwork and it has become the largest scale commission in the UK to be undertaken by a jewellery designer. In recognition of the ground-breaking nature of the project, the metalwork will also be on permanent display at the V&A Museum. This means Leane will now be on display across three of the gallery’s collections; jewellery, fashion and metalwork.
