Shaun Leane’s knowledge and experience in the jewellery industry spans over 35 years.

Celebrated world-wide, Shaun began his career training in London’s Hatton Garden. It was there that Leane began collaborating with the late Alexander McQueen, creating provocative catwalk jewels that have become iconic milestones in the art of couture jewellery. He went on to launch Shaun Leane Jewellery in 1999.

Shaun Leane jewellery is underscored with sentiment, stories and meaning, always tapping into the history and heritage of jewellery.

A versatile talent, Shaun has excelled across the worlds of jewellery, fashion, architecture and broadcast. In 2013 Shaun presented The Hidden Jewels of the Cheapside Hoard for BBC4 and 2021 saw him become an expert judge on two series of BBC2’s primetime format: All That Glitters

Described by Sotheby’s as “antiques of the future”, Shaun has received recognition across the globe. He has won U.K. Jewellery Designer of the Year on four occasions, and the prize for Walpole Best British Luxury Craftsmanship and most recently, Harper’s Bazaar Jewellery International Jewellery Designer of the Year.

2018 saw Shaun’s first move into architecture with the opening of the 21 Young Street apartment building in Kensington. Shaun was commissioned to design the building’s exterior metalwork and it has become the largest scale commission in the UK to be undertaken by a jewellery designer.In recognition of the groundbreaking nature of the project, the metalwork will also be on permanent display at the V&A Museum. This means Shaun’s work will now be displayed across three of the gallery’s collections: jewellery, fashion and metalwork.
